Few things make me happier than getting the chance to read and review ARCs of authors that I admire. One of the many things I admire about CL is their ability to give each character an authentic and unique voice. I had no trouble determining character perspectives even during excerpts of the Tripp’s book; you have no issue identifying each voice. Carey’s long time working for the Tripps ultimately has left her in a hard spot. She is loyal but, […]

Book Review: Hers to Tame by Rhenna Morgan

Book Review: Hers to Tame by R..

Thank you to the team at Carina Press for the opportunity to participate in the blog tour for Hers to Tame! While Hers to Tame is the second of the NOLA Knights series, I had no issue jumping in as a standalone. Morgan has brought New Orleans alive with lovable characters and a delicious, steamy second chance romance with a couple that just seem to fit. I loved that Morgan gave Cassie her moments to shine and secure her place […]

Pagán has written another clever, engaging, and relatable story. This Won’t End Well is one of those books that I found impossible to put down. I adored Annie right away. She was incredibly sweet, charming, and her eccentricities made her instantly relatable for me. Readers have the pleasure of watching Annie’s small changes throughout diary entries, emails, and letters and I truly found it satisfying. The relationships Annie navigates are enjoyable and not limited simply to her romance with Jon. […]

This was definitely a cute, quick read and started off my Romanceopoly challenge on the right note. I love Whitney G’s other work, my favorites to date are Reasonable Doubt and Naughty Boss, and like the others I have read Sincerely, Carter was well-written and engaging. Character wise, Carter was the fantastic, swoon-worthy and all-around great guy we love to swoon after. Arizona was an average character for me. My opinion of her shifted dramatically as I read. What I loved […]

Book Review: The Rules of Murder by Rob Sinclair (ARC)

Book Review: The Rules of Murd..

I loved the first DI Dani Stephens book to the point where I was watching Sinclair’s social media waiting for the cover reveal . It should be no surprise then, that I was absolutely thrilled when offered the chance to read and review Sinclair’s latest book The Rules of Murder (thank you Canelo)! Book one really focused on Dani, her recovery and return to the force. Changing the play in this book, Sinclair launches readers straight into a grisly murder. […]
