An off-the-cuff assessment of myself: I am an avid reader, toddler wrangler, decent wife, military spouse, distance runner, knitter, and wine enthusiast. I have a profound appreciation for ebooks and audiobooks and couldn’t imagine going through this whole baby-rearing thing without them. Physical books are wonderful too, but they aren’t easy to read when juggling a tiny human that has a taste for bookmarks.
My time spent reading slowly dwindled after high school, because life happens, but after the birth of our daughter I have rediscovered my love for reading. Honestly, if I was to use a word to describe my reading during the first year of my daughter’s life I would say “voracious.” My husband says “frightening” but I often remind him that there are worse vices. Libraries have absolutely saved my sanity and bank account! And yet after all that reading, I needed someone to gush with.
Dream Come Review was created as a space to share my thoughts on the books I’ve read or want to read has been a truly fulfilling experience. You will notice that I am all over the place with genres and that is just how I like it. I have discovered so many fantastic new authors, genres, and tropes. I have learned a lot about myself in the process, both as a reader and as a person.
