Happy April!
April is my birthday month but it also means the first quarter of 2023 has wrapped up! This year though, it feels like its barely after the new year! The only way I know for sure that spring is on the way is way my body is convinced the trees, grass, and flowers are all trying to kill me. Between that, a miserable cold, and starting twice a week physical therapy, I have stayed in as much as possible. March was a fantastic month of reading and I’m hoping to hold the trend as the year carries on!
I’m really pleased that I’m maintaining my goal of reading at least one physical book per month. I’ve been relying on the library heavily. I’ve also been more open to switch between reading and listening to audiobooks. The bulk of Stalking Jack the Ripper was listened to while working on a puzzle. I’m embracing my little old lady era with puzzles, knitting, and shaking my cane at the neighborhood children (or my own child typically and she continues to ignore me and live her best life). Anyway, on to the bookish!
Here are the non-WWW Wednesday posts from March:

We are coming back to moods read that are a little more typical. Adventurous, funny, and mysterious reads are definitely at the forefront! I’m still keeping it dark and lighthearted though.
Genre-wise, I surprised myself with fantasy coming up to the front! Romance isn’t far behind and Mystery is in third but really its not a competition.
March’s average rating is definitely higher than February’s. I’ve been lucky that most of my picks have all been authors that I enjoy or have been highly recommended by like readers!
