Happy February!
I hope you all are having a cozy February filled with reading! January is always so dreary here in the PNW this time of year so I’ve been stuck inside with the fam for most the year so far. As far as reading goes, January was an okay month for reading! I didn’t have any books that truly blew me away, but I had some solid reads. I’m really excited to report that 30% of my reading in January was from physical books so I’m going strong with that bookish goal!
I’ve been knitting a lot! Finishing a couple pairs of socks for my daughter, a pair of birthday socks for my Dad, and working on a couple sweaters for myself. Audiobooks have been very helpful! I’ve also kept the projects simple so I can read off my phone or Kindle while working.
I’ve been posting regularly here on the blog and I’m hoping to continue that trend. Here are the non-WWW Wednesday posts from January:

“The truth is,” he told her, “I’m not like you. I don’t make lists. I don’t have rational explanations for everything. If you asked me why I wanted you, I wouldn’t be able to give a carefully thought-out account. I could only say that you make me feel like the home I want to live in.” –

Dark and adventurous reads were coming hot this year! I’ve been exploring outside my typical lighthearted reads recently with mixed results. I’m looking forward to seeing how this shifts each month!
Genre-wise, its no surprise that romance is at the top of the list. I also dabbled in some fantasy, history biography, and science fiction to keep things interesting.
Average rating in January felt mediocre as I hobbled through and this definitely reflects that. The one 5 star I had was a reread; Murderbot will always get 5 stars.
