Currently Reading
I’m currently listening to You’re Gonna Die Alone by Devrie Donalson and I’m enjoying it! I’m also making my way through Capture the Sun by Jessie Mihalik and Never Met a Duke Like You by Amalie Howard. Romance making a comeback in my TBR this year!
Recently Finished
I finally got around to reading System Collapse! I had to reread Network Effect to reorient myself. I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as Network Effect, but it was still a great addition to the series and I’m excited to read more! I also picked up It Was Only a Kiss after seeing in on a reel of recommended dark smutty taboo reads. Smut was good but the story was… underwhelming and unclear.
Lay Them To Rest was recommended as well and it was a really interesting listen! It explains the technology and technics used by various professionals to identify John and Jane Does. I didn’t care for the creative scene setting as much but Laurah Norton did a phenomenal job of making the information easy to understand and retain.
What Will I Read Next?
I have been meaning to pick up an Amanda Quick book for ages and since I’m recovering from surgery, I picked a copy up from the library and will be starting it tonight! I’m also going to read What Moves the Dead by T Kingfisher in my effort to read all of their backlist. Once I’m done with my current listen I’m going to listen to #CrimeTime by Jeneva Rose and Drew Pyne! I’ve been wanting to try her work and figured this would be a fun introduction.
