Hello Lovelies!
Shelf Control is a weekly celebration of the unread books on our shelves created and hosted by Lisa @ Bookshelf Fantasies. Pick a book you own but haven’t read, write a post about it (suggestions: include what it’s about, why you want to read it, and when you got it), and link up!
Life is a Circus Run by a Platypus
Author(s): Allison Hawn
Published: 2013 (
Sweatshoppe Publications)
Length: 142 pages
Goodreads Synopsis:
Has being late to work due to dancing clowns ever been a problem for you? Have you ever had to defend yourself against a giant iguana? Does the overture to The Music Man make you violently twitch? In Life is a Circus Run by a Platypus, readers are immersed into what it would be like to live every day as if a herd of ballerinas
How and When I got it:
This was a Christmas gift from my sister a few years ago. I had actually forgotten about this book until I was searching for something that would fulfill the May motif of “one sitting reads” for the 2019 Monthly Motif Reading Challenge hosted over at GirlXOXO. I saw it on a list of short collections on Goodreads and had one of those “AHA!” moments. This sounds like a hysterical collection of weird experiences and I’m looking forward to reading it in 2019!
