Monthly Wrap Up March 2022

Townsfolk and Tourists,

Well friends, we have officially made it to April! Spring is in full swing here in the PNW with cherry blossom trees harassing my sinuses, plenty of rain, and time spent getting the garden ready for the year. Spring is my least favorite season which is a bit silly as April is my birthday month!

Non-reading accomplishments:  I am still trucking along with my running! Marathon training officially started this month and I am slowly getting my mileage up to prepare for this summer. I have been reading a lot in my spare time but I’ve taken advantage of audiobooks so I can do things like cross-stitch/knit or paint our masterbath! All those little DIY homeowner tasks start to pile up so we are trying to get those done before the end of spring. If you have any recommendations for fantastic audiobooks then send them my way!

I’ve been a little quieter on the blog this month but I have been a little more consistent with WWW Wednesday and even produced a couple of full reviews! I’ve also posted some mini-reviews on Goodreads and Storygraph this month. I’ve continued reading regularly, managing to read a total of 12 books! Not my highest, but I don’t have much spare time these days so I am pleased!

Reading Habit Breakdown March 2022. Genre Most Read: Historical Romance, Top Book Source: Library, Books Read: 12 with approximately 2,959 pages read. Genre Breakdown: Historical Romance 25%, Non-fiction 8.3%, Contemporary 25%, Thriller 8.3%, Science Fiction/Fantasy 33.3%

I am coming in hot with a fairly solid mix of genres in March. Historical romance had a real whopper with a 700+ page romance (Whitney, My Love). I do want to say that I included The Red Palace in my historical romance for tracking even though the romance wasn’t the core of the book. I have a couple rereads but I also read a few arcs and books that have languished on my ever-growing TBR! Some of these fabulous books even join the illustrious ranks of my “5 Star Reads” shelf! Also read a couple of stories that didn’t resonate with me. Let’s take a look:
