January 2019 Currently Reading

Hello Lovely Readers,

I hope this post finds you all happy, healthy, and surrounded by books. We woke to snow this morning and I just want to snuggle up with coffee, a fuzzy blanket, and a book. It’s too bad that Sunday is still an adulting day. I have a lot to share today so let’s dig in.

Expected Reading this Week

I am usually reading around three books at the same time, each in different formats. I currently have a library copy of The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy for my physical book, This Pen for Hire as an ebook, and Do You Feel It Too? as an audio book/ebook combo. Magic Burns was on my eHold list and popped up this week and I’m excited to get a dose of Kate and Curran.

Last Week in Reading

This week was a busy one! I finished Xander as my first book in the AtoZ Reading Challenge. A Slice of Magic by A.G. Mayes is an advanced copy through NetGalley (though it has already been released so I’m not sure what that is about) and originally I chose it to fulfill my Romanceopoly roll. Turns out it won’t fill that slot so I read a second book for Sweet Street. Lancelot of the Pines has been sitting in my kindle library for a couple years now and was a great choice for a small town romance. Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye was a selection for my cozy challenge. My thoughts on the book can be read here. Finally, I read Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine for my local book club pick. The book was as heart wrenching as it was funny. I’m looking forward to writing up my thoughts and sharing with you all.
