August Wrap Up

Hello Everyone!

This is it! Summer is dead!

~ ignoring the forecast of 80s – 90s for the next week ~

Bring out the pumpkin spice everything and send those “chiddrens” back to those poor poor teachers and celebrate. Great job, Parental Unit, you made it! Unless you are me and your tiny troll isn’t of school age. Then you are stuck in business as usual and are using books to take you to far away places where you don’t have to hide in the bathroom from demanding little monsters.

August was a surprisingly productive reading month over here! I’m just steadfastly ignoring my huge pile of unwritten reviews… I’ve hit my usual number of books read even though I hit a reading slump in the middle of the month after a couple of lukewarm ARCs. It helps that I binge read some brain candy contemporary romances. I allowed myself to flit about if books weren’t doing it for me and Goodreads was definitely tattling to my friends. (By the way, if you are on Goodreads and are looking for a bookish pal hit me up! The handy dandy G icon up top links to my profile.) I’ve been really focused on crafting content for this Autumn and I’m excited to see what everyone thinks! I also managed to get Mr. B to agree to do a read and review guest post. Next step is to pick a book and get him reading!

New things this month: I will be joining the ranks of some amazing hosts for Bookending Autumn 2019 in October (24-27); I received an invitation from a large publishing house to join their new review / influencer team along with some amazing bookish peeps; I finally hit one of my fitness goals for the year!

Enough of the business! Let’s get to this month’s highlights. This month was HEAVY on the contemporary romance and I regret nothing!

Twenty books is amazing and such a range of genres too. You’ve had a makeover!!! I didn’t recognise you at first. 🙂

I love to flit about genres! And I did! I was so excited to launch the Autumn version! Thank you for stopping by, Veronica!
