I’ve found it difficult to categorize this book! A contemporary fantasy with a hefty dose of mystery and some suspense. Magical books tucked away in private libraries that are protected ruthlessly from unscrupulous individuals… Kinda. Also, these books require blood to activate and read and some don’t just stop with a little blood. Törzs juggles three POVs: Esther, Joanna, and Nicholas. Each POV distinct and enjoyable, though I think Nicholas was my fav to follow around. Don’t jump into this […]

So, it’s confession time. I ADORE Jessie Mihalik’s writing! From Polaris Rising, to her Rogue Queen series, I have devoured every book and stalked every release. Eclipse the Moon is the second book in the Starlight’s Shadow series and it follows tech specialist Kee Ildez, hacker extraordinaire. I sat down and binged this delightful morsel in a day, and may have put off some adulting even after finishing to sit and think about what McFarlane has created. […]

Fair warning: This review may have some mild spoilers for book one so… read at your own risk. Or better yet, read book one and then come back. Valarie Valdez has given reader the tongue-in-cheek space opera series we didn’t know we needed and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Funny, thought-provoking, and all the geeky nods and references that I could hope for. Readers are treated to hints of favorites like Mass Effect, Firefly, Gundam, Pokemon, Cowboy […]
