There is something about the Sunshine Vicram series that just makes me happy and cozy. It has mystery, a bit of fated romance, Gilmore girls-esque mother-daughter banter and love, endearing town residents, all with a bit of tension and danger to finish it off. The Essence of Evil is my first time reading Rob Sinclair’s work and yet I know it definitely won’t be my last. This is my first book for the Cruisin Through Cozies 2019 Reading Challenge hosted over at Socrates Book Reviews. Abby Cooper: Psychic Eye follows a psychic intuitive named, you guessed it, Abby Cooper. Abby, though apparently being quite talented, fails to predict her client’s murder and ends up bumbling through the investigation. Of course the lead detective on the case happens to be the handsome man she went on a blind date with earlier in the week and he is not buying what she is selling.
