I think 3.5 stars is my true rating for Never Met a Duke Like You. A cute historical romance with a light amount of angst that really serves up a delicious amount of snark and snipes between Vesper and Aspen. Enemies-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes and Howard sneaks in a former friend edition and I was incredibly excited! A bit of forced proximity in an attic? Yes, please. Aspen is intense and he was so much fun to […]

Crying Wolfe by Kerrigan Byrne (ARC Review)

I enjoy fast books, and I usually adore Kerrigan Byrne’s writing but this one flew by and I ended up feeling a bit disappointed. Crying Wolfe is entirely focused on the characters; no side mystery or plot to zhuzh things up or distract from the budding relationship. That can be lovely, but it also puts a lot of stress on the characters to deliver. I really enjoyed Rosaline and Eli was amusing in his stereotypical “American West” gruffness. Out of […]

I am so pleased to be included on the blog tour for the newest addition to the Romantic Encounters anthologies! Without a doubt, Paullett Golden never fails to have me swooning over her sweet heroes. From the short and sweet bits of flash fiction (The Enigmatic Earl and The Governess were my favorites) to the short novel nestled inside this anthology. A Touch of Romance follows the romance of another member of the literary society from |A Dash of Romance|. I was […]

I fell in love with Diana Biller’s debut novel and The Brightest Star in Paris is a beautiful follow up that delivers a second-chance romance with a background of heartache. Amelia was a fabulous heroine. Her public persona has become second nature, edging out her own personality bit by bit as she continues to dance to support her sister. Present day in this story is just after 1871 Paris where “Bloody Week” has left ragged, lasting scars on Paris and […]
