Crying Wolfe by Kerrigan Byrne (ARC Review)

Crying Wolfe by Kerrigan Byrne..

I enjoy fast books, and I usually adore Kerrigan Byrne’s writing but this one flew by and I ended up feeling a bit disappointed. Crying Wolfe is entirely focused on the characters; no side mystery or plot to zhuzh things up or distract from the budding relationship. That can be lovely, but it also puts a lot of stress on the characters to deliver. I really enjoyed Rosaline and Eli was amusing in his stereotypical “American West” gruffness. Out of […]

A Daring Pursuit by Kate Bateman (ARC Review)

A Daring Pursuit by Kate Batem..

Warning: This review was entirely written in shrieks of glee that have been loosely translated into something someone might be able to read. TLDR: One of my favorite books of 2022 without a doubt. I know that its only March but I’m calling it. Carys is so delightful! She is a brash, loyal, witty, and passionate firecracker with a hidden, lonely layer of brittle expertly hidden by layers of armor. Outrageous outfits and a devil-may-care confidence shield her by creating […]

From the short and sweet bits of flash fiction (The Enigmatic Earl and The Governess were my favorites) to the short novel nestled inside this anthology. A Touch of Romance follows the romance of another member of the literary society from |A Dash of Romance|. I was […]

A Reckless Match by Kate Bateman (ARC)

A Reckless Match by Kate Batem..

Bateman had me hooked from the first page. I love a good enemies-to-lovers, and throwing in the childhood archenemy and a heroine with an atypical hobby for the time (archaeologist) and I’m not going anywhere. A little bit of mystery and intrigue rounds out this romance beautifully. The line between hate and passion is razor thin between Maddie and Gryff and I was glued to the pages watching them navigate preconceptions with the person they were spending time with. Watching […]
