Review: Read My Lips by Kelle ..

Read My Lips is the first book in Riley’s  new Riches and Royals series. I loved the Undercover Cat cozy series and was excited to dig in to some disguised billionaires.  I really enjoyed the dyslexia rep in the story. I’ve only come across it two or three times out of all the romances I’ve read so that was an intriguing, and educational, addition to the story. The scenes when Claire is actively helping Clayton learn are my favorite in the book. […]

A Reckless Match by Kate Bateman (ARC)

A Reckless Match by Kate Batem..

Bateman had me hooked from the first page. I love a good enemies-to-lovers, and throwing in the childhood archenemy and a heroine with an atypical hobby for the time (archaeologist) and I’m not going anywhere. A little bit of mystery and intrigue rounds out this romance beautifully. The line between hate and passion is razor thin between Maddie and Gryff and I was glued to the pages watching them navigate preconceptions with the person they were spending time with. Watching […]

I fell in love with Diana Biller’s debut novel and The Brightest Star in Paris is a beautiful follow up that delivers a second-chance romance with a background of heartache. Amelia was a fabulous heroine. Her public persona has become second nature, edging out her own personality bit by bit as she continues to dance to support her sister. Present day in this story is just after 1871 Paris where “Bloody Week” has left ragged, lasting scars on Paris and […]

Review: A Good Day for Sunshine by Darynda Jones (ARC)

Review: A Good Day for Sunshin..

There is something about the Sunshine Vicram series that just makes me happy and cozy. It has mystery, a bit of fated romance, Gilmore girls-esque mother-daughter banter and love, endearing town residents, all with a bit of tension and danger to finish it off. Buckle in for just one long fan-girly scream because there’s no way I can coherently describe the chaos that is this book. There is so much going on! Jones loves to juggle plot lines and its […]

Review: Hit Me With Your Best Scot by Suzanne Enoch (ARC)

Review: Hit Me With Your Best ..

I’ve read Enoch quite a while ago but since it has been a long, long time so I approached this read as I would a new author. While I wasn’t completely confused, I do think reading the series in order would lead to a far richer experience for other readers. It was a relatively fast paced read, the story taking place over a short period of time along. Coll was the stereotypical Scot that hates any and all things Sassenach. […]
