I was lucky enough to win a copy of Aimie K. Runyan’s Girls on the Line from a Goodreads Giveaway. I am thrilled to say that I have found another favorite author in the historical fiction genre and I highly recommend reading this if you have an interest in the Hello Girls of WWI.
I enjoyed reading this story featuring Lizbeth and Sebastian. The two meet in a library during a ball and despite a tense initial interaction, they bond over their mutual distaste for marriage and love of books.
I was given a review copy of An Irish Flirtation by Louisa Masters through LibraryThing so I could provide an honest review. After a long week of drudging through other books, I found Masters’s novella to be a lovely, light-hearted reprieve.
