WWW Wednesday
WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam from Taking on a World of Words. The three questions to answer are:

1. What are you currently reading?
2. What did you recently finish reading?
3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

Demon King by Elizabeth Briggs
Black White and Gray All Over book cover

While not the only books I’m reading at the moment, these are the three that I’m pushing through this week!

I really enjoyed Elizabeth Briggs’s Seraphim Academy (so did Mr. B!) so I was excited to pick up her latest release on KU, Demon King. Heavily Lucifer (the show) vibes.

Additionally, I’m reading some review copies of Merryhearth Manor & Me by Abigail Darby (cozy women’s fiction with a hint of romance) and Black, White, and Gray All Over by Frederick Douglass Reynolds (non-fiction memoir).

Recently Finished

A Taste for Poison by Neil Bradbury
Bombshell by Sarah MacLean

I saw a review for A Taste for Poison by Red-Haired Ash Reads, you can read her review here, and immediately added it to my TBR. Luckily, my audiobook hold came through during my trip. A full review will come soon but this was a fantastic listen/read. Equal parts true crime and science with some dry snarky humor snuck in.

I also finally stopped putting off Bombshell by Sarah MacLean and I’m landing at about 3 stars. Loved some of it, annoyed by parts of it… still going to read the future books in the series.

What Will I Read Next?

Fault Tolerance by Valerie Valdes
Helltown by Casey Sherman
Aphrodite and the Duke by JJ Mcavoy

I have these ARCs to continue reading or start. I took a sizeable break from Aphrodite and the Duke because I was feeling bored at 48%. I was also irritated with Eva in Fault Tolerance so that was put down too around the same time. My goal is to finally get through them.

What have you been reading? Have you read any of these?

Anonymously, Alana

I felt the same about Bombshell, I really hope Imogen’s book is as good as I am hoping for!
