WWW Wednesday Jan 19 2022

I used to do a weekly round up but it kind of fell to the wayside as I started restructuring and then my hiatus. Then I came across this weekly gem while trolling some of my favorite book bloggers’ sites and decided it was time to pick it up again!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam from Taking on a World of Words. The three questions to answer are:

1. What are you currently reading?
2. What did you recently finish reading?
3. What do you think you’ll read next?

~ Currently Reading ~

Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
Got Warrants? Dispatches from the Dooryard by Timothy Cotton
Snowed in with the Stuntmen by Riley Love

I’m currently listening to Got Warrants? by Timothy Cotton. I picked it up because Maine is on our list of potential retirement spots and I found this when trolling Overdrive!

Since this is me and I always have several books going, I’m also reading The Final Girl Support Group, Snowed in with the Stuntmen, and Mistborn. Mistborn is Mr. B’s favorite series so I decided to pick it up and give it a try!

~ Recently Finished ~

Morning Glory Milking Farm by C.M. Nascosta
The Seduction of Lord Stone by Anna Campbell
She Kills Me by Jennifer Wright

I reference Morning Glory Milking Farm in my recent Top Ten Tuesday post about Books Recently Added to my Book Collection. That was wild and only made me want to read a spicy monster romance. The Seduction of Lord Stone by Anna Campbell was so much fun. I love a good pining from a former rake and the tension between Caro and Silas was delicious. Last, I read She Kills Me: True Stories of History’s Deadliest Women by Jennifer Wright. I was really disappointed with this read. I think Tori Telfer’s Lady Killers did a better job with details and information, although some of those cases were lacking as well.

What Will I Read Next?

From the Jump by Lacie Waldon
Echoes of guilt by Rob Sinclair

I have an ARC of Lacie Waldon’s next book that I’m excited to pick up! I thoroughly enjoyed The Layover. Next on the murdery side will be Echoes of Guilt by Rob Sinclair. I pre-ordered this and it showed up in my library toward the end of 2020 and I still haven’t picked it up. Shame! I’m ready to get a dose of DI Dani Stephens.

What have you been reading? Have you read any of these?

Anonymously, Alana
