Werewolves, Gargoyles & Vampires... Oh My!

Hello Everyone!

Today is my last day hosting for this year’s Bookending Autumn! Thank you so much for popping in! This has been such a fun experience and I feel like I’m finally starting to get the hang of my recommendy/discussion posts. Today might be my last day but starting tomorrow Bookending Autumn will be hosted by none other than Sam @ Fictionally Sam. Make sure to pop by the BE Autumn Master List and give the other posts some love!

Anyway, it seems fitting, with how close we are to Halloween, to talk about our favorite paranormal heroes and heroines. I love a good shifter book and urban fantasy is definitely a genre I pick up when I need to break myself out of a slump. Who doesn’t enjoy a badass hero/heroine struggling against all odds and preternatural forces?!

By the way, I am always looking for new paranormal books so send your recommendations my way!!!

Werewolves, Gargoyles & Vampires... Oh My!

Let’s talk favorite paranormal heroes and heroines. Who is at the top of your list?

Kasia and Brand have to be on this list because they were so much fun to follow. I love Brand’s lovable curmudgeon tendencies and Kasia was a bad ass.

No paranormal list would be complete without Kate Daniels. I still haven’t finished this series but I am all about Kate’s strong yet fallible character. Ilona Andrews are quickly becoming an auto-buy for me.

Spellbound by Allie Therin Book Cover

Cute cute cute! Arthur and Rory’s are just so stinking cute AND Rory has some badass powers. I love the other supernatural characters in this series too.

Kingdom of Exiles by Maxym M. Martineau

This is a stretch because this technically falls more into fantasy but I’m going for it. Leena is great and all but I am here for Noc and all that shadowy assassin goodness. This is shaping up to be a great series with clever abilities.

Bear Meets Girl by Shelly Laurenston

I loved the Pride series by Shelly Laurenston but Cella Malone is one of my absolute favorites especially when she is around Dee. She has the best combination of sass, sarcasm, and gumption. Plus the girl is an enforcer on a hockey team with a bunch of males. How cool is that?

The Undoing by Shelly Laurenston

Another Shelly Laurenston book, but what can I say? I love her style. Especially with Jace who is smaller, quiet and unassuming until her intense berserker rage is unleashed. Plus she is a book lover!

Storm and Fury by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Trinity from Storm and Fury, while occasionally super petty and immature (I mean it is a YA Fantasy after all) was a total badass. I was amazed at her continuing to train and remaining mostly up beat even while slowly losing her vision. I am really looking forward to the next book!

Who are your favorite paranormal characters?
