Tidyathon: Scrub a Dub Dub

Tidyathon was created by lovely Clo @ Book Dragons after she decided it would be more fun to tidy up with others! And with that, an event was born. You can get more information from the Tidyathon Info page! Also, signups for Bookending Summer 2019 close on July 14, 2019 so jump in now if you plan on participating!

What Is Tidyathon?

  • Running alongside a Bookend Event (Bookending Summer 2019), the Tidyathon is a month long event
  • You set aside time (daily, weekly, all in a day, weekends etc) to get some tidying done
  • The amount of time you spend on this is entirely up to you
  • Originally you could only tidy up your blog/goodreads now it’s open! If you need to tidy part of your room, that counts too!

So what tidying will I be up doing?

I decided to start the Tidyathon in the physical sphere first. We are coming up on one year in this apartment which means it is time to switch things up!

This is the final layout decision we settled on. It’s as clean as it possibly could be with a toddler, husband, and two trash can cats romping about. Basically, cleaning is an exercise in futility. I’m very happy with the new layout, though I wish the television wasn’t obstructing the beautiful quilt my MIL made for us many moons ago.

Other Tidying Goals!

I do plan on tackling more around the house but I also have a lot of reviewing/blogging tidying that I would like to do.

  • Create More Discussion Posts! I have had fun planning out my discussion posts for Bookending Summer 2019 and would love to extend the effort beyond July.
  • Tidy up my Goodreads shelves (this goal is the closest to insanity)
  • Put together lists of books that I’ve read but haven’t posted reviews to the blog and restart my mini-review posts.
  • Clean up the Author Index on the blog. I don’t care for how it is structured at the moment and really want to up my blog game.
  • Update my various reading challenges (especially romanceopoly!)
