March 2020 Monthly Wrap Up

Townsfolk and Tourists!

March has been positively grim for most of us. Erb and I are weathering this crisis solo and it has been… an experience. With the exception of a handful of runs in quiet areas to get some fresh air, we have stayed inside and watched way too much television and harassed our cats. I did manage to record the cutest video of Erb reading a book to me (Waiting is Not Easy by Mo Willems) during story time and it is the cutest thing ever!

I have struggled to get into many of the books that are on my plate, with a few exceptions, so I’ve made a concerted effort to be kind to myself. If I want to binge watch Schitt’s Creek and knit or play Animal Crossing New Horizons then I will! And I have. Overall, I’ve fallen behind a bit on my specific reading challenges but AGAIN I’m trying to be kind. I still have time to catch up on the yearly challenges!

Non-bookish: I am making significant strength gains with my workouts but I am going a bit slower on the runs that I do manage. Granted, I’m pushing a two year old in a 40lb jogging stroller so there is no way I’ll be hitting any personal records anytime soon. Our fate regarding our cross-country move in June is still in the air and I doubt we will know for sure until May which is scary. I like to plan and it just isn’t going to happen this time.

Enough of the business! Let’s get to this month’s highlights.

  1. Looks like you had a pretty great month of reading with lots of four and five star reads 😀 I pretty much gave up on reading towards the end of March when Animal Crossing came out and I finally caved and bought a Switch Lite 😆 Haven’t been able to stop playing and haven’t picked up a book since?! Haha hope April is a good reading month for you!

Thank you! The last week of March was Animal Crossing heavy for me too! I suspect April will be the same 😂 Enjoy you island adventure!!!
